We challenge the gem industry's push for sterile perfection. Our mission is to source and curate unheated Ceylon sapphires that celebrate their internal inclusion landscapes as natural signatures of time.
An unheated sapphire is a 550-million-year-old biography.
For generations, the commercial gem trade valued stones by how “sterile” they were. High-pressure furnaces were fired up to 1800°C to melt away natural rutile silk needles, deleting the geological signature of crystal growth to fit standard retail molds.
We founded IncRare to preserve these internal microscopic universes. Sourced exclusively from Sri Lanka, each sapphire in our collection contains geological timelines: prehistoric gas bubbles from ancient atmospheres, negative crystals, or radiative zircon halos. These features verify that a stone has not been altered by human furnaces.
The 1-in-10,000 Sourcing Standard
Out of ten thousand unheated Ceylon sapphires mined in Ratnapura, only a single specimen carries an inclusion footprint beautiful enough to match the IncRare visual catalog. We filter out stones that lack structural character, selecting only those hosting miniature internal galaxies, stellar rutile layouts, or radiation-etched mineral locked fields.

Precambrian Crystallization
Deep within the metamorphic belts of Ceylon, at temperatures exceeding 750°C and immense crustal pressures, aluminum and oxygen atoms crystallize into corundum. During this slow process, microscopic trace elements lock inside the crystal face.

Artisanal Sourcing
We source directly from generational mining collectives in the metamorphic gravels of Ratnapura. We pay fair collector wages and verify local community support.
Zero Heat Policy
We strictly reject thermal therapy. We preserve the raw mineral silk and fluid inclusions that took 550 million years of pressure to grow.
Apex Authentication
Every stone in our gallery is registered and vetted by the National Gem and Jewellery Authority of Sri Lanka (NGJA) for absolute certificate security.
